The WCBID at Work
The WCBID team members are here to help make our community cleaner, safer and overall a better place to be. We have three teams; a 4-officer district safety team, a 8-member sidewalk maintenance team and a 4-person landscape maintenance team, which maintains the medians and pots on both sides of Wilshire Blvd.
The cleaning of the major sidewalks in our area is performed by Chrysalis. Chrysalis has a long history working with BIDs in Los Angeles. We have worked with them for a number of years on different specific maintenance projects. They provide services to about 13 other BIDs within the City. Chrysalis is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a pathway to self-sufficiency for homeless and low-income individuals by providing the resources and support needed to find and retain employment. Since their start in 1984, they have helped over 35,000 individuals change their lives through jobs.

The board is comprised of members from the various residential and business communities who live or work in a particular geographic area. The purpose of the C-PAB is to provide advice to the Area Commanding Officer regarding decreasing the incidence and fear of crime in the community, as well as to provide community members with a voice in the policing of their communities. In addition, the Area Commanding Officer provides updates and explanations of Department programs to members of the CPAB.
